It has been almost two years in the making, but the Trickytix launch is edging closer.

Back in 2007 when we first met with the guys at Australian Anthill we boldly stated “we will launch something in 8 weeks, no matter what”. Well we did launch at the end of 2007, but it took longer than 8 weeks and it certainly wasn’t a full self-service application! Throughout 2008 we allowed various clients to use the system as it underwent changes, and in 2009 we re-launched a self-service version for our two biggest clients (Mothers Day Classic and Million Paws Walk).

Since the start of May 09 however we have been in lockdown, putting the finishing touches to the final public version of our self-service, online event registration system. The design is finalised and the features are set, with a full launch slated for July 2009.

So what can you expect?

Simple, point and click creation of event registration pages

Themed pages that match your existing website

Automatic online ticketing

“Forward to a friend” to allow your customers to spread the word

Sophisticated field creation so you can capture any data you want

Safe, secure online ticketing

We are still adding select customers onto the system prior to the full launch, including the great team at Make Breast Cancer History.

If you are in the area and have the night free, we would encourage you to sign up at their online ticketing page!

If you are keen to use Trickytix yourself when we launch, there are a number of ways you can stay in touch with us. Follow us on Twitter or Facebook, sign up to our email newsletter, or drop us your details on our signup page.

Last week we soft launched a project we have been working away on for about 2 months. A brand new concept in online fund raising, we think it might just be purrrrrrrrrfect!

Million Purrs is a fantastic new fund raising initiative for the RSPCA which is completely driven by the Trickytix fund raising and events platfform. In their own words:

Our feline friends shouldn’t miss out on all the fun, so the RSPCA has created Million Purrs an online virtual event designed with your cat in mind!

It’s free to register and create your own virtual cat, then your family and friends can donate to the RSPCA by purchasing virtual gifts for your virtual cat. The more funds your cat raises, the more they can help the RSPCA, all without leaving the house or getting dirty paws!

Cat avatars, virtual gifts, Facebook integration, top ten sponsor lists, and virtual worlds all combine to create what we hope will be a roaring success for the RSPCA.. The Courier Mail called it “second life for cats“, while Priscilla thinks it is the “cleverest online fundraising campaign I’ve seen this year“.
